Bargaining Update

WAPSO Member,

Negotiations resumed Friday, May 25th and Monday, May 28th during which the City has refused to amend its wage position from a 0% and 2% general wage adjustment over a two-year Agreement. No other improvements to wages, benefits or working conditions have been offered.

Your Executive Board met in emergency session at noon today and has concurred with the Bargaining Committee that the City's offer is unacceptable. The Board has decided to file for arbitration in accordance with Article XVII of the Collective Agreement as our last resort to achieving a fair settlement for our membership.

We will keep you apprised of further developments as they occur.

Brian Verity
President
