Winnipeg Association of Public Service Officers

New Staff

WAPSO members,

I am pleased to advise that we have welcomed Katie Haig-Anderson to the WAPSO office in the position of Labour Relations Officer.

I am confident that Katie will be a fine addition to our WAPSO staff and be an excellent advocate for WAPSO members.

Katie joins us from her recent role as a labour and employment lawyer at Myers LLP, where she practiced for the last 2.5 years. She studied law at the University of Manitoba, and completed a B.A. at the University of Winnipeg with a major in International Development Studies. An active volunteer, board member and advocate in a number of community initiatives and organizations, she was the Chair of the Planning Committee and a Panelist at the 2018 Mel Myers Labour Conference, and a Panelist for 2 sessions at the 2019 Mel Myers Labour Conference.

Katie cares deeply about labour issues and is excited to join the staff of WAPSO and advocate and represent our members.

If you would like to contact Katie to offer words of welcome, or to raise a workplace issue or concern, please email her at
